Formerly a Fortune 500 executive, I am now a full time comedy ventriloquist and magician focusing on corporate events. Making that jump from stable paycheck to the wild world of show business was not an easy decision. OK, so technically I was laid off from the day job. Rather than jump back into the 9-5 (ha!, that’s a joke!) world of corporate America, I decided to make a go of it on my own. I plan to use this blog to capture thoughts on that transition. Perhaps this trail of breadcrumbs will be useful for others to follow, or maybe it’ll just be nice for me to look back on as I go through this process and watch my own progress (or lack thereof!).
UPDATE: I’m currently back at a day job. That makes two full time jobs. Because I haven’t stopped treating my business as a full time job. It’s just harder to do both.
